Adam
Adam Levy has led the MN based rock combo The Honeydogs for over 20 years. He’s a guitarist and singer-songwriter who loves cooking, boxing & reading history almost as much as “making noise” in his roughly half-dozen musical projects. He’s a social activist, educator and proud parent of two daughters. He freely admits to having a clothes, music gear and eyewear fetish.
We freely admit to feeding his eyewear fetish.
Elexis
Elexis Trinity is a researcher, poet, amateur occultist, avid autodidact and graduate student in human rights. In her spare time she studies languages and the stars. Not surprisingly, her Spectacle Shoppe glasses are every bit as unique as she is.
Clint and Whistler
Clint Allen, producer, storyteller, Buddhist motorcyclist, actor, and a big fan of his son’s band.
Whistler, his son, fast grocery bagger, serious scooter enthusiast, painter, music producer, and the drummer in Hippo Campus.
They’re no ordinary pair. So why would they choose an ordinary pair of glasses?
Carter
Meet Carter Averbeck, the brains behind the interior design company Omforme; a man who says he’s “continually seeking the fantastic in the mundane,” while never shying away from bold color and daring design, because “What is life if you can’t inspire others by stepping out of the safety zone?” He’s a furniture guru, an artist extrordinaire and an organic jellybean addict.
Is it any wonder he chooses our eyewear?
Hugo
Meet Hugo Klaers. He bangs the drums for the Suburbs, but neighborhood kids love him ’cause he builds their ice-rink each year. If you see him around town, he may be lost in his beloved crossword puzzles, but at home he’ll be toying with his collection of weird socks and peculiar neckties. He also collects vintage shades. This Oliver People’s design, which he got from the Spectacle Shoppe, is his current favorite.
Annamarie & Eve
Eve was born with a heart defect and underwent an extremely risky surgery at just 3-and-a-half months. The life and death crisis inspired her mother, Annamarie, to start the Newborn Foundation (newbornfoundation.org). It’s saving lives worldwide. These are our customers. They’re beautiful, with and without their Spectacle Shoppe glasses.
The Hanson Brothers
The creative musical force known as the Hanson Brothers have shaped the sounds of many of the Twin Cities’ best artists. And they get their shades at the Spectacle Shoppe because we treat eyes like art.
Vie
She’s a soul, funk, and jazz singer, a dancer and choreographer, and she’s a Vinyasa yoga instructor in Minneapolis. Vie Boheme loves her Spectacle Shoppe glasses because they’re every bit as unique as she is.

She’s a graduate of the Mayo Medical School, the caretaker of beloved rescue dogs, an avid art collector, a certified scuba diver, a former Miss Northern Bahamas body building champion, and a huge fan of her new Spectacle Shoppe glasses.
Samantha
Meet local fashion star Samantha Rei. She’s been featured in Glamour and Vogue, named “Best Local Fashion Designer” by City Pages readers, authored and illustrated a book on fashion subculture, and been a star contestant on the TV show Project Runway. It should be no surprise that she’s also our customer.
Robin
Robin Asbell, gourmet chef, author of 11 cook books, culinary teacher, Star-Tribune food columnist, world traveler, artist, and lover of life. It comes as no surprise that she also happens to be a fan of our eyeglasses.
Russell
Meet Russell Toscano: Former teacher of art & drama, former actor & director, currently the artistic director / floral mentor of Wisteria Design Studio. He refers to himself as a die-hard theater geek, home chef, travel enthusiast, and eyewear freak. We admit to being unrepentant enablers of his eyewear fetish.
Molly
Molly Maher is a guitar stringer, song slinger and acoustic guru at Willie’s in St. Paul. From Work Day to Gig Night, she always looks great in her Spectacle Shoppe glasses.
Elijah
Elijah McGregor Fortson refers to himself as a Gay Capricorn of Color (GCC), a prolific dancer, a discourse addict, a hot-take connoisseur, a fount of comic book and anime trivia, a social justice warrior and a man trying to figure out what to do with an Ivy league degree in Media Studies.
He’s every bit as unique as our eyewear, and he wears it beautifully.
