Design to Function

Morel calls its design approach “Design to Function.” Every curve, hinge, and temple tip has a job to do, not just a look to sell. Denis Bellone, Morel’s Artistic Director, put it plainly: the goal is new comfort for the wearer, with no maintenance needed from the optician.

That philosophy shows up across the line. Sunglasses and optical frames alike favor clean, wearable shapes over fussy detailing, finished in a wide range of acetate tones, brushed metals, and combined materials. Colorways run from classic tortoiseshell and crystal to bold solid tones, so the same silhouette can read quiet or striking depending on the finish.
